Summer 2025 has been filled with international travel for the CodChange team. Apart from taking some well-deserved holidays, our postdoc Martina Martortell Barceló has been very active in disseminating ongoing results from WP1. In June, she travelled to Traverse City (Michigan, USA) to participate in the International Conference on Fish Telemetry, where she gave an oral presentation on cod individual vulnerability to predation and fishing. Back in Norway, she travelled to Bodø in July to attend the MPAs in Marine Spatial Planning Conference, where she gave a talk on the role of MPAs in preserving the behavioural diversity of Atlantic cod.

On August 31st, Prof. Esben Moland Olsen and project manager Albert Fernandez Chacón travelled to Berkeley (California, USA) to take part in a scientific workshop hosted by our project partner, Prof. Stephanie Carlson (UC Berkeley). The workshop was a great opportunity to meet in person with our American partners, present our ongoing research, and discuss new ideas for future collaboration. Martina participated online due to a climbing injury — we wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to having her back in the office this autumn.
